After competing with Foothills WFC in the UWS (2019)\, she has built an impressive career that has included NCAA success at the University of Memphis and strong European spells in Iceland and Sweden. Now with Montréal Roses FC\, Tanya has earned a call-up to the Ukraine Women’s National Team\, joining the squad for preparation matches in Spain. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Emily BurnsCongratulations to Emily Burns on being named to Canada Soccer’s Women’s National Team roster for the 2026 SheBelieves Cup. A goalkeeper with deep Alberta roots and strong Foothills ties\, Emily is currently with FC Nantes and has continued to earn opportunities through professionalism\, performances\, and persistence. Seeing a Foothills-developed player selected for a major international window is a proud moment for our club and community. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Mya JonesWe are proud to celebrate Mya Jones\, who has signed with Calgary Wild FC\, bringing her journey full circle back to her hometown. Mya’s path has already included major milestones\, from standout NCAA recognition (including a place on the MAC Hermann Trophy watch list) to being selected by San Diego Wave FC in the NWSL Draft\, and a season with AFC Toronto in the Northern Super League. After progressing through the Club’s system and into the Cavalry FC environment\, he signed an Exceptional Young Talent (EYT) professional contract with them. He has also earned a call-up to Canada Soccer’s Men’s U-20 National Team for the 2026 Concacaf U-20 Qualifiers. In Canada’s tournament opener\, James was named in the match squad where Canada defeated the U.S. Virgin Islands 14–0. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Bianca PatikFoothills alum Bianca Patik has also taken her game to the international stage. Bianca played with Foothills from 2014 to 2023 and was a key part of our 2008 Girls program. Bianca is making her debut for the Czech U19 Women’s National Team. It’s an exciting achievement and a reflection of the dedication\, consistency\, and growth Bianca has shown throughout her years in the game. Myla delivered a decisive assist in a critical win over Edmonton BTB\, while Emma was on the scoresheet in multiple matches\, including the regular season finale.
