Two rising stars from the Calgary Foothills APDL 2010 Girls team have reached an incredible milestone in their soccer journeys. Taylor Barrett and Kaci Bzeta have both officially signed with Nike, joining an elite group of young athletes recognized for their talent, character, and commitment to the game
At the Nike Premier Cup in Portland, Oregon, Taylor stood out for her composure, leadership, and consistency on the field. Her ability to inspire teammates and perform under pressure reflects the values of Calgary Foothills and the strong development environment that shapes players in the Club’s Advanced Player Development League (APDL).
Kaci, at just 15 years old, made Canadian soccer history by signing a multi-year Name, Image and Likeness (NIL) agreement with Nike, becoming the youngest women’s soccer player in Canada to do so. Her performances at the Nike Premier Cup turned heads internationally, earning three game MVP awards against elite academies such as Chelsea FC and Wolfsburg. Currently representing both Foothills and Calgary Wild FC’s U21 Academy, Kaci has also been named twice to the Canadian U-17 National Team’s provisional roster.
Taylor and Kaci exemplify the Club’s mandate to develop not only skilled athletes but strong leaders on and off the field.
Congratulations, Taylor and Kaci. Your Foothills family is proud to celebrate this milestone with you and excited for what the future holds.
