Why Early Treatment Matters

Fast, Supportive Care When It Mattered: Harvey’s Vivo Cura Story

I contacted Vivo Cura as soon as I realized I needed help with my wrist which I had injured playing in goal. I completed the form at 10:00 pm on a Tuesday night. Eighteen hours later (4:00 pm Wednesday), they reached out by phone and scheduled my first appointment. Within forty-two hours, I was seen by a physician, who assessed my wrist, referred me to a doctor, and my treatment began.

That same day, I was sent for X-ray, and the following day I received a call from my doctor to inform me that it was broken and I needed a cast. The hospital booked a CT scan within three weeks; however, the Vivo Cura staff contacted the fracture clinic and asked if I could have an earlier appointment, and they moved it up a week! The CT scan results were discussed with my family and me the next day.

Throughout my healing, I was given advice from Vivo Cura and the Foothills sports science staff on how to stay fit. Jermaine Bucknor was especially helpful. I was able to train and stay physically and mentally ready for my return. I was back on the pitch within 10 weeks.

My experience with Vivo Cura has been great. Not once did we have to wait for results. The attention and treatment I received in my appointments showed they cared and understood how quickly I wanted to get back on the pitch, while also making sure I was fully ready to return.
