Caleigh Boeckx grew up chasing a soccer ball across Alberta’s fields with Calgary Blizzard and Southwest United, quickly earning provincial call-ups and a spot in Canada’s National Development Centre (Alberta). Her pace, composure, and drive earned her selection for Team Alberta at the 2017 Canada Summer Games and later a place in Canada’s U-20 program, culminating in four caps at the 2020 Concacaf U-20 Championship.
In 2018 she joined Rice University in Houston, where she became a dependable two-way player for the Owls. Caleigh anchored a back line that captured the 2021 Conference USA Tournament Championship. Her performances earned C-USA All-Tournament Team honours, a Conference USA Defender of the Week nod, and repeated Scholar-Athlete and Academic Honour Roll distinctions, proof of her excellence on and off the field.
Summers saw her return to Canada’s elite amateur ranks, playing for Calgary Foothills WFC in United Women’s Soccer. These stints kept her sharp and connected to her hometown soccer community.
In 2024 Caleigh signed with Treaty United FC in Ireland. Supporters and commentators praised her crossing ability. Treaty’s match feeds gushed over “a great cross from Caleigh Boeckx” that set up a crucial goal versus Shamrock Rovers. She also delivered a memorable strike against Wexford, later telling Treaty TV how special it was to score with family watching from the stands.
Her performances in Ireland set the stage for a homecoming moment: a December 2024 announcement naming her among the inaugural signings for Calgary Wild FC. The club welcomed her as “a true powerhouse on the pitch… bringing speed, skill, and heart to Calgary Wild.”
From youth development in Calgary to NCAA success, from wearing the maple leaf at U-20 level to testing herself in Europe and now contributing to Canada’s newest professional league, Caleigh’s path reflects determination and adaptability. Her journey shows a player willing to seek challenges far from home and then return to elevate the game locally. Her blend of international experience, academic discipline, and attacking flair makes her a cornerstone for the Calgary Wild and an inspiring example for young Canadian players following in her footsteps.
