Finnah Gordon is building a reputation for the energy, empathy, and maturity she brings to our youth environments. She is passionate about helping young players feel seen, supported, and confident on and off the pitch.
Finnah began coaching in the Foothills Grassroots outdoor program at 14 and has since gone on to work across multiple teams and school programs, including Copperfield School, CEFA Early Learning and Sibylla Kiddle in Cranston. She currently coaches our U13 Tier 1 girls team and is primarily involved in academy and skills training for U11–U12 girls and boys, as well as U9–U10 Academy players. Whether she is working with younger players taking their first touches or leading her U13 girls, she is known for helping players manage nerves, build resilience, and enjoy the game. She has also been gaining experience assisting the coaching staff in our Pre-Enhanced program, Foothills’ extra training environment for talented U11–U12 players, further strengthening her ability to support players on the performance pathway.
Supported through Foothills’ coach development pathway and the TELUS She CAN Coach program, Finnah has already completed her Canada Soccer C Diploma, making her a powerful example of what is possible for young women in sport. She is determined to keep learning, keep raising standards for the players she coaches, and inspire more young women to see coaching as a role they can claim for themselves.
