Alberta Player Development League (APDL) player Payton Reed is chasing big goals and putting in the work to make them happen.
“My soccer dream is to compete against the best players in the world and continue growing not only as a player but also as a leader and role model in the sport. I want to play at the highest professional level possible, whether that’s in the ECNL, Europe, or representing my country on the international stage,” Payton shares.
She credits Foothills and her coaches for helping her grow. “The high-level coaching staff is constantly pushing me to improve both technically and tactically. The training environment is intense, competitive, and focused on individual development, which prepares me for the demands of the next level.”
For Payton, the APDL has been the perfect place to push herself. “Every session is competitive and focused, and I am surrounded by teammates who push me to improve. The coaches give individual feedback and help us set goals. The environment motivates me to be my best every day.”
Right now, she describes her stage as “Building Formation.” “At this age and stage, it is all about developing core skills, understanding the game better, and gaining confidence. It is a critical time for growth that sets you up for future success.”
Payton’s determination, work ethic, and passion for the game are what make her stand out. With her mindset and determination, the sky’s the limit.
