You are invited to the Foothills Community Match Event on June 18

On Thursday, June 18, we will co-host with CMSA the Foothills Community Match Event at the Macron Performance Centre as Canada takes on Qatar.

Event sponsor, Kicks Sports is preparing a special event T-shirt. The first 200 shirts will be available free, with additional shirts offered at a low cost while supplies last.

Thanks to sponsor KalTire, you won’t go hungry as they will generously be hosting a free bbq!

Doors open at 3:00 p.m. Kick-off is at 4:00 p.m.

Join us to celebrate Canada and connect as a soccer community!

Foothills members are encouraged to attend and bring a friend, neighbour, classmate, or family member who may not yet be involved in organized soccer in Calgary. Let’s show them why soccer is known as “the beautiful game” and why so many people around the globe love it so much!

Whether you are already part of the club or just curious about the sport, this is a chance to experience the energy, belonging, and excitement that soccer creates.

The match will be shown indoors on a large screen with sound, giving families a weather-safe place to gather and cheer together. Guests are encouraged to wear red, bring their Canada spirit, and help turn the Macron Performance Centre into a true watch party.

Before kick-off, families can enjoy a fun pre-game atmosphere with:

  • Soccer-themed décor,
  • Activities for kids, and
  • A visit from special guests

Our Mascot’s New Name Will Be Announced At Halftime!

One of the highlights of the day will take place at halftime, when we officially announce the name of our new mascot. Thank you to everyone who submitted ideas and helped make this exciting new chapter for Foothills possible.

Thank You, CMSA!

A CMSA information table will also be available for families who want to learn more about soccer opportunities in Calgary. This will be a welcoming space for anyone interested in discovering how to get involved in the sport.

Bring Your Chairs and Get Ready to Cheer!

  • Families should bring lawn chairs or blankets for seating on the turf.
  • Chairs are welcome on the field; food is not.
  • To help protect the playing surface, all food and snacks, except water, must be consumed in designated areas.

This is a once-in-a-generation moment for Canada and a chance to share it together.

Join us on June 18. Wear red. Bring your chair. Bring a friend.

Let’s watch the game together and help grow the soccer community in Calgary.

Thank you to our sponsors:
