A Night to Remember: Foothills APDL 2007 Girls Honoured with the Golden Shoe

Saturday, February 22, was a big night for the Foothills APDL 2007 Girls team as they were awarded the prestigious Golden Shoe Award at the Alberta Soccer Annual Awards Banquet. This accolade is a celebration of their remarkable 2024 season, which culminated in a PDP U17 National Championship. It stands as a testament to the team’s dedication, resilience, and commitment to excellence.

The journey of this extraordinary team began with just 11 players at the U14 level. From these humble beginnings, they have grown into a formidable force in Canadian soccer, setting a new benchmark for success. Their journey has been built on a foundation of trust, loyalty, and a winning culture. Over the years, they have clinched five league championships, two APDL Provincial Championships, and an APDL Cup Championship, demonstrating that culture, hard work, and commitment are the keys to achieving greatness.

We couldn’t be prouder of this group and their incredible journey. Their legacy will undoubtedly inspire future generations of Foothills players, setting a standard for what can be achieved through dedication and teamwork. Congratulations to the Foothills APDL 2007 Girls team,
