This year marks a significant milestone as we partner with “Dare to Care,” a respected anti-bullying organization regarded as Canada’s most comprehensive and practical bullying prevention program. At Calgary Foothills Soccer Club, we take bullying and harassment of any kind very seriously. Our mandate is to provide the best soccer experience for every child in our program by creating a caring, friendly, safe and harassment-free sports environment.
Foothills Development Phase Manager Luis Tinoco heads up the initiative for the Club. “We had an incredible turnout of players on September 11 for our initial workshop with Dare to Care. Their innovative anti-bullying session gave our young athletes and coaches the tools to navigate the challenges of modern-day bullying and overcome past incidents.”
Through this partnership, Foothills and Dare to Care will offer presentations for both players and coaches, equipping them with the necessary tools to support our young athletes as they navigate their soccer journeys.
This initiative reflects our commitment to fostering a positive and supportive environment, ensuring every player feels safe, respected, and empowered on and off the field.
Luis says, “This is the latest example of how Foothills prioritizes the well-being and complete development of our players. We’re eager to see the impact working with Dare to Care will have.”
