Calgary Foothills Soccer Club is proud to announce a new partnership with Coaches’ Voice and Sport Session Planner, providing Foothills coaches with direct access to world-class learning tools, session design technology, and coaching insights used by clubs and coaches worldwide.
The partnership reflects a simple belief that has long guided the Foothills pathway: when coaches are supported, players benefit. By investing in coach education, modern planning resources, and professional development opportunities, Foothills is continuing to raise the standard of training environments across the club.
Coaches’ Voice supports coaches, clubs, leagues, and associations with educational tools, content, and learning experiences. Its platform includes access to expert-led coaching content, professional development courses, session plans, masterclasses, and insights from coaches working at the highest levels of the game. Through Sport Session Planner, coaches can also build, save, adapt, animate, and share training sessions, helping bring greater clarity, consistency, and creativity to the field.
For Foothills, this is more than a software investment. It is part of the club’s ongoing commitment to providing coaches with the tools, education, mentorship, and support they need to deliver the best possible experience for players.
“We are delighted to begin our partnership with Calgary Foothills, an established and forward-thinking club with a clear commitment to developing both its coaches and players,” said Magnus Alford, Co-Founder, Coaches’ Voice. “Their focus on coach education, consistent delivery and a connected player pathway aligns perfectly with our own values. We are proud to support their coaches with the tools and content to plan, share and deliver outstanding training across every program, and we look forward to being part of the club’s continued development.”
The new partnership will support coaches at every stage of the Foothills pathway. Whether working with young players in Grassroots and Foundation Phase, supporting players through the Development Phase, or preparing athletes for high-performance environments, coaches will have access to resources to plan better sessions, deepen their knowledge, and continue growing in their roles.
“Coaches’ Voice is a huge development opportunity for our coaches,” says Greg de Carnys, Foothills Technical Director. “It allows them to plan better sessions, expand their knowledge, and continue growing in their role, regardless of their current experience level. It also reinforces that we are investing in them.”
That investment matters because coaching quality directly impacts the player experience. Strong, clear session planning helps players understand the purpose of training. Consistent delivery across programs helps create a more connected pathway. Ongoing coach education ensures players are supported by coaches who are continuing to learn, reflect, and improve.
“We’re raising the standard of coaching across all of our programs,” adds Darren Bowman, Foothills Development Phase Manager, U13–U17. “Our coaches now have access to high-quality session-design tools, detailed training content, and insights from top coaches at the highest levels of the game. This helps create more consistent, engaging, and effective training environments for our players.”
The partnership also builds on Foothills’ broader history of reinvesting in the player and coach experience. From coach education and curriculum support to technology, facilities, technical leadership, and professional development, Foothills continues to seek meaningful ways to strengthen the environment for every player.
At its core, the goal is not simply to add another platform. The goal is to help coaches feel more supported, more connected, and better equipped to deliver purposeful, engaging, and age-appropriate sessions.
By connecting Foothills coaches to global best practices and modern coaching tools, the partnership positions the club within a broader international coaching conversation while staying focused on what matters most locally: the daily experience of Foothills players and families.
For Foothills, the partnership is another step forward in building a club where coaches are valued, players are supported, and development is never left to chance.
