Born in Québec City, Joelle Gosselin has carved a remarkable path through Canadian university soccer, international club football, and most recently, the futsal stage.
Joelle’s rise began at Université Laval, where she led the Rouge et Or to national prominence. A two-time U SPORTS champion (2014, 2016), she delivered on the biggest stages, scoring in the 2016 national semifinal and again in the final, her fourth of the tournament, to set the tone for Laval’s victory. Recognized as one of the RSEQ’s most dynamic attackers, she twice earned Indoor Player of the Year honours (2016, 2017), the first in league history to repeat.
Her attacking instincts carried into the W-League with Québec Dynamo ARSQ (2014–15), where she helped the team to the 2015 league semifinals, before joining Calgary Foothills WFC in United Women’s Soccer. With Foothills, Joelle was named to the 2017 All-UWS Second Team, underlining her ability to stand out in competitive environments.
In 2019, she seized her first professional opportunity abroad with Jyväskylän Pallokerho (JyPK) in Finland’s Kansallinen Liiga. Her debut was nothing short of sensational—a hat trick in just 22 minutes to secure a 3–2 victory.
Returning to Canada, she became a leading figure with CS Mont-Royal Outremont in Ligue1 Québec. In 2024, she helped guide the club to the Inter-Provincial Championship, scoring a thunderous strike in the final against Whitecaps Girls Elite that briefly put her side ahead.
Her greatest spotlight arrived in 2025 with the Canada Women’s Futsal National Team. At the inaugural Concacaf W Futsal Championship in Guatemala, Joelle played a pivotal role, scoring in the final against Panama as Canada lifted the historic first title.
Today, Joelle Gosselin balances club play with CSMRO and national futsal duties, still fueled by the belief that has carried her career forward. Her Instagram bio reads simply: “Believe in yourself!”, a personal motto that reflects the mindset behind every goal she’s scored, every title she’s won, and every barrier she has broken.
