Born in Peterborough, Ontario in 1996, Jordan Haynes has built a soccer career defined by persistence and resilience. Starting with youth clubs in Ontario, he joined the Toronto FC Academy in 2011 before moving west to the Vancouver Whitecaps Residency. That move opened the door to professional soccer: by 2014 he was training with the Whitecaps’ first team, and in 2015–16 he became a regular with Whitecaps FC 2 in the USL, logging 30 appearances and scoring once.

After leaving the Whitecaps system, Jordan spent 2017 with Vaughan Azzurri in League1 Ontario and OKC Energy U23 in the PDL, before winning a USL PDL Championship with Calgary Foothills in 2018. In 2019 he combined studies with play, suiting up for the UBC Thunderbirds in U SPORTS while also playing for TSS Rovers in USL League Two.

In 2020, Pacific FC handed him a contract, and he became a fixture at left-back, praised for his stamina and defensive reliability. In 2021, Haynes achieved the pinnacle of his career to date: starting regularly during Pacific’s run to the CPL Championship, the club’s first league title.

After three seasons and over 50 appearances with Pacific, Jordan said farewell in late 2022. In December, he signed with Valour FC. His time in Winnipeg was hampered by injuries, but he still logged 14 matches.

Internationally, Jordan has represented Canada at multiple youth levels. With the U-17s, he earned eight caps, scored once, and was named to the 2013 CONCACAF U-17 Championship Best XI, helping Canada win bronze and qualify for the FIFA U-17 World Cup. He later added caps for the U-20s, playing at the 2015 CONCACAF U-20 Championship.

Throughout his journey, Jordan Haynes has been recognized for his determination. From a teenager at the Whitecaps Residency to helping Calgary Foothills win its 2018 CPL championship, he has enbodied the persistence required to make it in professional soccer.
