Born in Keswick, Ontario in 1993, goalkeeper Nathan Ingham has spent more than a decade proving himself as one of Canada’s most consistent and durable shot-stoppers. His pathway started with Markham SC and Ajax SC before he joined Toronto FC Academy in 2012. That same year Nathan took the leap to U.S. college soccer, enrolling at Florida Gulf Coast University. At FGCU he started 63 matches, was named Atlantic Sun Goalkeeper of the Year (2015), and set program records for shutouts and goals-against average.

Summers were spent honing his craft in the PDL, especially with K-W United. Nathan’s defining early moment came in 2015 when he saved a penalty in the final to secure the PDL Championship and was named Final MVP. His performances earned him call-ups to Canada’s U-20 camps in 2011 and 2012, reinforcing his potential on the national stage.

Turning professional, Nathan signed with FC Edmonton in 2016. A highlight came in 2017, when his triple save was voted NASL Play of the Week. Loan spells with Toronto FC II and time with Calgary Foothills FC in the PDL in 2018 followed, before he joined Pittsburgh Riverhounds in 2018.

The launch of the Canadian Premier League in 2019 gave Nathan his breakthrough platform. As the inaugural goalkeeper for York9 FC (later York United), he played every minute of the Spring season, led the league in saves (89), and was named to the Spring Best XI while earning his first Golden Glove finalist nomination.

In 2022, Nathan signed with Atlético Ottawa, a move that redefined his career. In his first season, he backstopped Ottawa to the CPL regular-season title and another Golden Glove nomination. His consistency and character soon made him captain, and by 2025 he had become the club’s all-time appearance leader and first “centurion.”

From Keswick to Florida, Calgary to Ottawa, Nathan Ingham has forged a career defined by persistence and big saves on big stages. Whether as a PDL champion, a two-time CPL Golden Glove finalist, or the heartbeat of Atlético Ottawa, “All-State Nate” has earned his reputation as one of Canadian soccer’s most trusted last lines of defense.
