Foothills WFC – UWS League
Our women have been playing exceptionally well this season. Despite their strong performance, league rivals Santa Clarita Blue Heat squeaked out our only two losses of the season… 1-0 and 2-1, respectively. As you know, the UWS league has offered the highest level of Women’s Club soccer in Canada, but that will change with the kickoff of the Northern Super League in 2025. In preparation for that, our women are focused on placing highly in the UWS this season.
The team is packed full of talented players including:
Grace Stordy: Former professional with
SC Braga in Portugal
Talia White: Former professional with Treaty United in Ireland
Isabel Monck: U17 Canadian International
Anna Hauer: U17 Canadian international
Sarah Kinzner: U15-U17-U20 Canadian International and former professional with Ferencvárosi TC in Budapest
Please note that the game scheduled for June 29 against Los Angeles SC has been cancelled as they are unable to travel. In our last outing against the California squad, we netted a 4-0 win.
We have one remaining home game, which kicks off at Broadview Park at 3:00 p.m. on July 6.
You won’t want to miss this game against FC Arizona. In our first matchup, we also netted a 4-0 shutout so it promises to be an exciting game. Even more exciting is our special guest speaker!
Diana Matheson is the founder of the NSL and she will be on hand to share the latest news about the league and about Calgary’s own pro team… the Calgary Wild FC (including a special reveal)!
