Taylor Tombides is the Development Phase Lead for the U13 to U15 age groups at Calgary Foothills Soccer Club. He works closely with players and coaches to guide one of the most important stages of the development pathway, helping athletes build the technical ability, tactical understanding, and confidence needed as they progress through the game.
Taylor brings valuable experience from both professional playing and elite academy coaching environments in England. He came through the ranks at West Ham United F.C. as a player before progressing to play professionally for West Ham and Hull City A.F.C. During his playing career, he also represented Australia at the youth international level.
Following his playing career, Taylor returned to West Ham United’s Academy, where he worked as a Development Phase coach. He mentored young players and helped lead Individual Development Plans designed to support athletes as they progressed toward professional and international football. His experience working within one of England’s top academy systems has given him a strong understanding of how to guide players through critical stages of their development.
+++Taylor holds the English FA’s Advanced Youth Award and a UEFA B Licence from the English FA. These qualifications reflect his strong focus on age-appropriate coaching, player-centred development, and creating environments where young athletes can grow both technically and personally.+++

He works closely with players to help them develop strong habits, improve their understanding of the game, and continue building a lifelong connection to soccer.

His approach emphasizes hard work, attention to detail, and a positive training culture that encourages players to challenge themselves while continuing to enjoy the game.
