We’re getting ready to welcome many new players and families to the 2026/27 Indoor season. As part of our welcome calls with new Foothills families, we asked a simple question:

What are families looking for in a Calgary soccer club?
For many of our newest members, the decision came down to finding the right environment for their player to develop.
In fact, more than half of the families who answered said they chose Foothills because they were looking for a better soccer program.
That can mean different things for different players. Some families are looking for stronger coaching and training. Others want a more competitive environment or a clearer development pathway. And some are simply looking for a club that feels like the right next step for their child.

Another theme stood out.
