FOOTHILLS FINISHING & GOALKEEPER SCHOOL
Elevate your game with Foothills Finishing School & Goalkeeper school, an 8-week program tailored to enhance the skills of both goal scorers and goalkeepers. Whether you’re aiming to be the next top scorer or standout goalkeeper, this program provides essential training that will support your individual development further.
Finishing School (U7-U17)
Finishing School will focus on:
- Shooting techniques: laces, inside foot, volleys, and finishing from different angles
- First-touch and ball setup in front of goal
- 1v1 attacking scenarios and combination play
- Creating separation and intelligent movement off the ball
- Composure under pressure in front of goal
Goalkeeper School (U7-u17)
Goalkeepers will be trained in:
- Fundamentals of handling and positioning
- Footwork and diving technique
- 1v1 situations and breakaway saves
- Reading shooters and improving reaction time
- High ball management and dealing with crosses
- Distribution skills: throws, punts and passes under pressure.
Who Can Join:
This program is open to all registered members of the Calgary Foothills Soccer Club, as well as their friends and family.
Age Groups:
- Finishing School for Goal Scorers: U7 – U17
- Goalkeeper School for Goalkeepers: U9 – U17
Please note that players will be grouped according to their stage of development.
