Jamieson Sawka
Performance Director | CSA National B Licence
Jamieson Sawka plays a key role in the performance side of the Foothills pathway, supporting players with the tools and information they need to continue improving. His background in education plays an important role in the design and implementation of Foothills programs, particularly in integrating academic structure with high-performance training to create a balanced development environment for student-athletes.
With a CSA National B Licence and a background blending coaching and performance analysis, Jamieson works closely with teams and coaches to provide insights that help players better understand their development. His work contributes to a more comprehensive learning environment where players receive feedback, guidance, and support as they progress through the different stages of the Foothills pathway.
Since joining Foothills, Jamieson has grown through the Club from volunteer coach to Grassroots Coordinator, Academy Coach, Performance Analyst Manager, and now Performance Director. He has been instrumental in modernizing Foothills’ performance model by introducing European-inspired player-tracking systems and building the club’s video-analysis program for players and coaches. In 2024, he also supported the Boys APDL U15 team, who earned a place at nationals as provincial league champions, and his expertise was recognized by Cavalry FC, who invited him to assist with video analysis during preseason preparations for the Concacaf Champions Cup.
Why Foothills?
“When I joined Foothills as a coach, they were just opening the Foothills Skills Centre. Since then, it has been a club with great desire and purpose around player development and designing programs beyond the mainstream academy. The Club has allowed me to grow and develop alongside it, and at the same time to build and develop programs to support our players and families throughout their development. I consider Foothills my home in my coaching journey.”
